About Me
I’m Pauline, a product designer living in Richmond, VA. I have a strong passion for creating designs that are useful and intuitive while incorporating lively elements along the way.
My biggest inspiration comes from learning new skills and styles. I enjoy building upon my knowledge of UX best practices and applying new discoveries into my designs.
As a VCU graduate with a bachelor’s in psychology, I have a background in empathizing with different kinds of people and translating human observations into data. Practicing user interviews has shown me that I love hearing people's stories and thinking of ways to improve their lives with technology.
I have always loved to draw, but I always viewed art as a hobby rather than something I could make into a career. When my former recruiting coworkers and managers saw that I had artistic talent, they recommended that I create a logo for the team. My colleagues loved it, and I started to take on more graphic design projects such as email banners and team stickers. Before you know it, I had built a reputation within the recruiting department as a contact for creating designs. Seeking out these opportunities led me to discovering the world of UX design and how much this career path aligned with my interests and education background.
Outside of my professional life, you can find me trying out different foods, traveling, taking pictures of everything around me, finding a cat or dog to pet, and drinking my weight in bubble tea. In the past year, I have started a record collection and have fallen in love with listening to music on vinyl. I am always excited to talk about everyone's favorite music!
