Design Process

  • Discuss concept with client and clarify their business needs.

  • Conduct research on project tracking flows, digital payment flows, and the referral networking market.

  • Create an app navigation flow based on business needs

    • Minimum research was performed due to client's budget restraints

  • Create homescreen wireframe options to present to the client

  • Create color palette options to present to the client

  • Create wireframes and apply to an InVision prototype

  • Write a tech doc that explains the app’s functionality, screen by screen

  • Present InVision to developers and PM to discuss functionality and user flow.

    • The developers also discuss any functionalities that may slow down the timeline.

  • Make adjustments to InVision and tech doc based on internal feedback

  • Present InVision to clients

  • Make adjustments to InVision and tech doc based on client feedback

  • Handoff design assets to developers

Client Goals

  • The primary target audience is dog breeders looking to find matches for their dog(s)

  • The secondary target audience is people who are looking to adopt puppies from dog breeders

  • Users should be able to see a wide range of information about each dog: age, breed, temperament, health status, certifications, etc.

  • Users should also be able to easily message each other within the app to learn more about their matches and exchange information

  • Create an app within a small budget
